IDENTITY TRICKS: Not my BROTHER, Brother
Someone in the comments on Facebook said “I WANT BLACK PEOPLE TO WIN” in response to our non-support for Tuff Gong Ziggy Marley’s film. I on the other hand replied, “I WANT truth, and JUSTICE TO WIN!” there is no skin color in that. Justice will always give you the best outcome for eternity.
Anytime race, religion, or nationality, cloud our moral optics then it is time to push them out of the way. No one should be so loyal to their religion that genocide is tolerable. No one should be a fan of anyone so much so that they cannot see their inhumanity. No one should be loyal to their passport that they cannot see the war crimes. That is just stupid if these things come before our ethics. It is one of the hallmarks of immaturity and someone brainwashed us to think in this way.

Look they are JUST like us.

They are invested in supporting this man, so much so that they will fall out with you about it. But take a look at where his investment is. Interacial marriages are all good, just really worry when rich, influential people of African heritage do it in such numbers. I don’t think these choices are innocent.
You see we look like we are on the same page but we could actually be ideological enemies. This is why Pan-Africanism and Black Pride and all these other deviant ideologies do not sit down next to each other. Sure we look alike, but if it came to war you would be in my gun sights. We are NOT BROTHERS, brother!
Because the woman monster below looks like my Granny does mean much every time she raises her hand to veto justice. What infant brain thinks that “Black pride” should include support for what Obama did/ordered in Libya and Palestine?

Black people winning? Is a very immature and African American worldview. Here in Africa, we have no use for it. In Sudan right now two of these so-called “black” people are destroying Sudan and human lives. So which “Black” person do you want to win? Most of our world is not Black vs White. Certainly not even in South Africa.

BLACK winning you mean like an Oscar for first Lesbian of color? Is that the victory for the Black race we are discussing? Who is she holding onto and sharing that prize with?
Because I am not sure anymore. Like Haley Berry’s award for this? Is that a Black people-winning award? Is this part of Black History Month? One of the most vile sex scenes Hollywood has produced. So degrading that it is practically soft porn.
Look Oj killed two people and got away with it, another victory for Black people. Tyler Perry got praised by Time magazine for wearing a dress, yet another BLACK VICTORY! When OJ went home he went into the arms of another non-black woman. Is this the prize?
LONG AGO
A long time ago in the UK, we all got together as “black” filmmakers because we faced institutional racism (and still do). I did not personally go. But Within 1hr of assembling one guy is making films on Africans in Cuba, the other guy on being a thug in the UK, the other one on black gay porn, the other one of brothers getting high, and the other on Windrush era. What do they have in common to unite about?
JUSTICE WORKS EVEN BETTER
S
hould people band together based on race? Yes. Once they have ideology on lock. When people band together based on race is that racist? Let us deal with that. When Muslims band together based on religion is that racism? When Jews band together based on being Jewish (religious or ethnicity) is that racism? So we can see the fact that people with common or shared things do not automatically make something racist. When gays join together it also makes sense. I do not have to be Pro-Gay to agree it makes sense for them. So considering our collective experience as African people does uniting based on that common experience and common Pan-African culture make sense? Yes. From Chicago to Soweto we recognize each other as “the same”. We seem to have the same problems. Same issues with family and education. But there is a difference between coming together and having a shared thing in common and the race pride where we go to the other extreme and support every and anything just because someone is “black”
What do Cornell and Richie Torres have in common? What about Candace Owens and Sabby Sab?

So which black person would I like to win? If it was between Cornel and LGBTQ Richie? So there is a massive difference between our principles (consciousness) and coming together because of our shared culture and shared history. It is very immature to conflate the two. And doing so is a window to our destruction. Because people like Ziggy, Torres, Hakim Jefferies, Dr Hotep, etc can creep into our ranks while having a patina of consciousness and then doing way more destruction than any white enemy could. And all the while we miss the good people who happen not to be “Black”
